Another: I AM A Catholic Lesson
by Patrick Miron

My dear friend s in Christ Our Risen Lord who wants to be your Savior’s Birth-celebration is December 25th. Time is SHORT!

{1} WHY? [Rejoice?}

Given the state of the world, with a focus on the Good Old USA, and our economy, which Forbes reports a true 12.6% unemployment which is shockingly HIGH!

What Happened to Confession?

FYI: The only God desired; Christ approved and Bible -confirmed method for forgiveness of all sins is Sacramental Confession:

1John.1 Verses 8 to 10 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

1John.5 Verses 16 to 17 “If any one sees his brother committing what is not a mortal sin, he will ask, and God will give him life for those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin which is mortal; I do not say that one is to pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which is not mortal.

John.20 Verses 20 to 23” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” {With God’s actual Authority and Power} And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained”

Vote in Presidential Elec. D=52% BEFORE ABORTION WAS A Political ISSUE

{2012} D = 53% Pro-Abortion being a MAJOR issue {A Mortal Sin}
R = 44%
% of Catholics who support same sex-“marriage” currently at 54% {a Mortal sin}
% of Catholics who approve of abortion as “a valid personal option” 54% {a Mortal sin}
% 0f Catholics who claim contraceptive sex is “OK” is 84.1% {a Mortal sin}

John 1:1-9 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light. The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world”

Luke 1:26-38 “ In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, FULL OF RACE, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since know not man?” And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her”

As an USHER in my home parish I can testify that at least 90-95% of Mass attendees regularly present themselves for Holy Communion. Yet as we have shown only about 12% go to Sacramental Confession even Once per Year. {This is known as the Catholic “Easter Duty” & and possibly Grave Obligation}.

I have noted and identified a number of issues above that qualify as “Serious Matter”; 1 of 3 essential elements for an act to become a Mortal Sin. All of them leading to a Mortal sin. I don’t wish to get too far off track here; but the Catechism teaches:

1857 “For a sin to be mortal, three conditions must together be met: “Mortal sin is sin whose object is {1} grave matter and which is also {2} committed with full knowledge and {3} deliberate consent.”
1859 “Mortal sin requires full knowledge and complete consent. It presupposes knowledge of the sinful character of the act, of its opposition to God’s law. It also implies a consent sufficiently deliberate to be a personal choice. Feigned ignorance and hardness of heart do not diminish, but rather increase, the voluntary character of a sin.”

1037 God predestines no one to go to hell; for this, a willful turning away from God (a mortal sin) is necessary, and persistence in it until the end. In the Eucharistic liturgy and in the daily prayers of her faithful, the Church implores the mercy of God, who does not want “any to perish, but all to come to repentance”:

1035 “The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, “eternal fire.” The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs. :

Because all mortal sins gravity, and its effects of spiritually separating one from the Catholic Church and thereby Christ Himself, even one unconfessed; unforgiven mortal sin has the power to send one to hell for eternity. Which brings us back to {2} “What for” …. Why REJOICE?

There is no doubt that a great many self-professed Catholics are not taking advantage of Sacramental Confession; and therefore quite possibly they are in a spiritual condition that ought to prevent them from participation in Catholic Holy Communion; Jesus Christ HIMSELF in Person, and should they die in this condition; they condemn THEMSELVES to hell for eternity.

Ist. Cor. 11: 23-30“For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread. And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me. In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the new-testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me. For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come. Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. … For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep.” {“Sleep here means Spiritual Death}.

My dear friends there is NO such a thing as “an unforgiveable sin!”

1st Tim. 2:3-5 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, Who will have {this means Desires that ALL men be saved} all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus:“

Mt. 24:13-15 “ But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come. When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.”

Acts 4:11-12 “This is the stone which was rejected by you the builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved”

My dear friends IF you truly want cause to REJOICE!, please get to Confession before Christmas. Do not permit peer-pressure, laziness, fear, or anything else keep you from becoming worthy to present yourself to the New Born Christ, who came precisely to enable you to Worship Him. Excuse are from Satan, “the Father of Lies” John 8:44. Priest can never reveal to anyone for any reason; even if threatened with death. Confession is between you and Your God. The “Wise men” brought valuable gifts “from afar”; but you have have the gift of your SOUL to give to Jesus.

Luke 15:7 & 10 “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

May God encourage and Bless you and all those you love; Super-abundantly!
