  1. pattrick i find it puzzling that you post and quote some one who quotes

saint paul and his writings —

(and you tell people that if they pray in tongues(in the spirit)- it might be the DEVIL!!)

Luke 11:11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give …

“You fathers–if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? … If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or …

because the standard for Saint Paul — is Acts 19

    Paul in Ephesus

19 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when[a] you believed?”

They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

3 So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”

    “John’s baptism,” they replied.

4 Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” 5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues[b] and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve men in all.

certainly it is a good routine to have this as a child ,

but as an adult one should be able to have a good confession with out the nessssity of a priest, a act of contrition – really is effective, there should be spiritual maturity- but for the most part there is not, and many people agonize over confessing, as an adult you should be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit —

    Ephesians 5 Standard Version (ESV)

    Walk in Love

17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

    Christ Has Set Us Free
5 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

(i realize that this is not politically correct)

It took 16 years for the catholic church to curse people in the reformation.

Did it work was it successful–?

were there signs following ? as in mark 16:15-20?

Mark 16:16-20New King James Version (NKJV)

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

    17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 they[a] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

After all it was through that authority that the Council of Trent declared:

    125 council of trent 125 anathema’s
the Catholic Church puts curses on people. Popes and bishops have tried to damn people to hell.

No other group — not even Satanists — tries to consign people to hell.

Only the Catholic Church does that. And it is done at the highest level — popes, cardinals, and bishops.

Some Satanists and voodoo practitioners try to persuade people to make pacts with the devil.

If the people decide to make a pact with the devil, it is voluntary. It is their decision — not something forced on them by other people.

yes the catholic confession system, is designed for the carnal catholic, who is not spiritually born again, and functions wiwith the power and presence of the Holy Spirit,

As Saint Paul said we are all called to the ministry of reconciliation

    2 Corinthians 5:11-21 – The Ministry of Reconciliation –

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. … 2 Corinthians 5:17 Or Christ, that person is a new creation.

and yes we all can Loose the power of the Holy Spirit into people’s lives with the 9+ gifts of the Kingdom that changes peoples lives.

    1 cor 14:25

1 Corinthians 14:25 NKJV – And thus the secrets of his heart are …

And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.

    1 Corinthians 12:1–31 –

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute…

the catholic priest confession system is designed for babies immatrue catholics.

    as saint paul said

    The Church and Its Leaders

3 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.

2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.

    3 You are still worldly.
